Little Light Early Learning Center has been established to serve the needs of the families in our community. Because there are so many parents who must work outside the home, we desire to provide a place where parents feel comfortable and safe leaving their children while they work.
Little Light Early Learning Center has been established to serve the needs of the families in our community. Because there are so many parents who must work outside the home, we desire to provide a place where parents feel comfortable and safe leaving their children while they work.
In doing so, we strive to create an atmosphere of security and love that we believe provides a better opportunity for learning, developing a sense of independence and responsibility, and character building. We believe each child is an individual; a unique and special creation of God, and we recognize that each child has their own personality and their own individual needs. We hope to provide quality attention and care while providing your child the opportunity to learn to relate in a group setting. We seek to establish a spiritual foundation with basic Christian values that we hope to last a lifetime. We do this through foundational Bible stories, crafts, and songs, and by providing boundaries in our everyday behavior (respect, thankfulness, manners, honesty, love, and joy).
Not only do we believe that children are special, we believe parents are as well. We work to create a FAMILY atmosphere here at LLELC, providing the opportunity to establish good relationships between parents and staff.

We seek to establish a spiritual foundation with basic Christian values that will hopefully last a lifetime. We do this through foundational Bible stories, crafts, and songs, and by providing boundaries in our everyday behavior (respect, thankfulness, manners, honesty, love, and joy).

All of our children will have daily Bible and character education lessons, and children ages 2 – 5 will participate in daily language development activities, as well. In addition to this, our 2-year-old curriculum will provide your child with instruction in the areas of letter identification and number concepts while 3 year olds will be introduced to phonics (an important basis for reading), and will continue developing number concepts. Our 4 year olds with begin reading and writing and will continue to develop number concepts.
We use the “Fruit of the Spirit” as our daily guide for behavior. This includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We also teach obedience, respect, thankfulness, honesty, and problem solving skills. It is our desire to instill in the children that they are UNIQUE creations of God and allow them to develop the gifts He has placed within them.
In accordance with learning respect for authority, we teach the children to refer to all staff members as “Miss ____” or “Mrs. ____”. We would appreciate your cooperation with this at home also. Example and consistency help them develop this habit.
Our preschool program is a year-round program. This means that academic instruction continues in the summer. Parents who choose to withdraw their child for the summer months will need to provide a registration/deposit fee if they want to secure their child’s place for the following fall. However, priority will be given to those students who are enrolled for the entire year.
* Please understand that our 2-year old academic preschool program is not as extensive as our programs are for 3 – 5 year olds. The 2-year old program will include learning activities that are developmentally appropriate to their age level. They are not expected to know everything that they are taught; it is more of a foundational tool to stimulate their learning abilities. We also work with the family in potty training at this age as well. If you have questions regarding this you may talk with your child’s teacher or the director.
Safe and Secure
Our primary concern is that our children are safe, because we know, as parents ourselves, that it is also your primary concern. You will notice that we take extreme caution to make sure the children you have entrusted to us are safe and accounted for at all times.
To ensure this, we have a keypad installed at the front door, allowing access only if you have an access code that was assigned to you upon enrollment. This prevents unauthorized persons from entering the building.
In addition, while the state regulations require us to have one person on staff at all times that is certified in CPR, it is our policy that all members of our staff are currently certified in CPR, both infant and child. Despite the substantial cost to do so, we felt it necessary to know that we are, at all times, able to administer CPR in the unlikely event that it is needed.
In addition, our outdoor play area is completely fenced in and instead of flooring it with mulch, it is floored with pieces of rubber that provide a soft landing for those unsteady walkers!
We have many precautions instituted to ensure your child’s safety, but these are the most important to us. We hope they give you peace of mind that your child is safe and secure, in addition to the loving care our teachers provide.

Progress Reports: These will help you to know how your child is progressing academically. They will help you know what your child may need to work on academically.
Parent / Teacher Conferences: Conferences are available to be scheduled at the parent’s request. Your child’s teacher may want to schedule a conference with you if he/she has any concerns.
Letters Home: For special reminders and to keep you updated on special events.
Talking openly with teachers and the director: A great way to voice concerns or “congrats”.
Little Light also has a Facebook page to keep you up to date on what is happening!
Please feel free to communicate with us at the bottom of this page, as well. Please note that we have not made names a required field, but if you do not leave your name or contact information, we may not be able to solve any potential issues properly.
We would like to encourage you to feel at ease to communicate with us, just as we are working hard to do so with you. This is especially important when a new situation arises (potty training, growth spurts, feeling overwhelmed, etc.).
